Adaptive Wilderness Sports of McCall (AWeSOMe!)

We are a non-profit organization based in McCall, Idaho.  Our mission
is to empower people of all abilities through high quality outdoor experiences.
We believe that by giving individuals with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy
sports and outdoor recreation, we help open the doors
to what they can accomplish in their lives.

Winter:

Each winter AWeSOMe! works in conjunction with Brundage Mountain Resort to offer ski and snowboard lessons for people with disabilities.  The program provides specialized adaptive equipment and teaching techniques to accommodate people with most types of disabilities.   We just started our 2015/16 ski and snowboard season and are looking forward to another great winter of fun on the slopes!!

Summer:

We offer adaptive flat water kayaking lessons throughout the summer.
Next year we are also looking at adding sailing!

Thank you Volunteers and Donors:
We are grateful to all of the wonderful volunteers that help develop and
run all of our programs and to the donors who support seasonal programming, special programs – Warfighter Sports – and our scholarship program.
Donations ensure no one is turned away due to an inability to pay,
thus providing a valued opportunity for full inclusion.
We just completed this year’s fundraising drive and
are overwhelmed by the tremendous support we have received.
